Olubunmi Akinola is a seasoned procurement, supply chain, and risk management executive with over two decades of leadership experience across the telecommunications, engineering, infrastructure, financial services, and consulting sectors.
He has a proven track record of developing procurement strategies, strengthening supplier governance, leading business transformation initiatives, and delivering operational efficiencies within multinational and high-growth organizations.
Olubunmi holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering and an MBA with a specialization in Cybersecurity from Nexford University.
He is a Project Management Professional (PMP), a Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Diploma holder, and ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC). His career spans key leadership roles with Globacom Nigeria, Conoil Plc, Seg.Mahsen Limited and Old Mutual Group, where he managed complex procurement portfolios, negotiated strategic commercial agreements, and supported the successful delivery of multi-million-dollar infrastructure and enterprise transformation projects. Following his relocation to Canada in 2024, Olubunmi has focused on the evolving intersection of supply chain resilience and cybersecurity.
As a Supply Chain Risk Consultant, he advises on third-party risk management, supplier assurance, and procurement governance, leveraging internationally recognized frameworks, including ISO 27001 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
He is a Christian who believes that discipleship is God’s ordained process of nurturing young believers unto maturity and conforming them to the image of Jesus Christ, who is God’s perfect model for life and living. Olubunmi is an inspired teacher of God’s word, the Bible, and he serves God faithfully in his local assembly where he worships.
Olubunmi is married to Afolake and is blessed with three Children.
